Thankful
Each year leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, I like to take time to reflect on what I am most thankful for and share that with all of you here. This year is no exception, so here it goes.
There are so many things I am thankful for in life.
I am thankful for my family and their health. There is nothing more important.
And I am thankful for the opportunity to spend time with them.
I know how lucky I am that I will be spending this Thanksgiving with my loved ones, and that not everyone has that same opportunity. This is something I will never take for granted, and I continue to cherish this time year after year.
I am thankful to have the opportunity to come to work at HSS every day and truly enjoy what I am doing. I know this is also not something everyone gets to experience. Not only do I get to work for an organization that is helping people live better lives, but I have the extreme privilege and honor of working with the best colleagues I could ask for. I look at the HSS family as my second family, and a family I feel so thankful to have. Your hard work and dedication in helping to achieve our mission every day is inspiring and I cannot thank you enough for all that you do.
I hope you are able to enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday with your own loved ones, and I encourage you to take time to reflect on what you are thankful for this holiday season and share in the comments if you feel comfortable doing so. I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the HSS family members who will be spending their Thanksgiving here caring for our patients, who are so lucky to have you.
As we get closer and closer to the end of the year – and the end of the decade! – I become even more excited for what the future holds and thankful that we are on this journey together.
